Sarah Bernhardt in portrait circa 1880, etching by E. Abot aqua f. with a vintage note hand written and signed in black ink by Sarah Bernhardt on the bottom right: " L'être intelligent fait de l'égoïsme une vertu, l'iimbécile en fait un vice " Sarah Bernhardt. This work measures 9.25 X 12.75 inches - 23,5 X 32,2 cm. The paper is discoloured and worn from age, foxing as pictured but the print is clean and the Sarah Bernhard writing and signature well legible. This print comes with an old French Mat and wooden frame but I suggest to change the matting by an acid free and conservation framing. Price with or without frame: $375.00 Can. Paolo Boni, Italian artist, moved to Paris in 1954. He developed a multi-levelled relief etching process constructed by cutting and assembling various pieces of metal shaped and inked separately. Starting 1970, he called this etching process: " Graphisculpture ".
